![]() ![]() ![]() This is a character who used to be Robin and then he became this? And now he’s like a big brother and has a different role?” That was such a mind-blowing experience for me as a child, to see all this 50 years of history and he has to use all that to talk to Batman in his time of need. ![]() I just remember that scene where Tim is begging Dick to become Robin again to help Batman. I remember the first time I encountered him in comics was the Batman: Lonely Place of Dying trade paperback, which introduced Tim Drake. Batman has a Robin and that Robin is named Dick Grayson. Tom King: I feel like Dick Grayson is just one of those archetypes you’re born knowing, like he’s built into your brain as language. MSG: Ah! So, you’ve come full circle with Dick as an Agent of Spyral! I get it! In my head, I think he’s still that character with the flesh-colored legs driving around in the Spider-Mobile. So, I had to make up my own adventures of why Robin would be driving the Spider-Mobile. For some reason, it came packed with the Green Goblin and Dick Grayson, not Spider-Man at all. When I was a kid, my mom got me the Mego Spider-Mobile for Christmas. ![]() Mine is totally stupid, but I like to tell the story. Matt Santori: I think a good way to start is to ask both of you how and when you first encountered Dick Grayson personally and what are his totem representations for you? ![]()

That's unfortunate, though, because not only were the aftershocks of this event huge (changes to how law enforcement approach crowd control during protests the cover-up, investigation, and warring opinions about the events and who was at fault), but the Kent State massacre is probably more relevant than ever before considering the protests going on in the US over the past few years.Īt some point in the recent past I read the Wikipedia pages for the Kent State shootings and the four victims who were killed that day. There is so much US history to cover (not to mention all the other world history that's happened before and since) that glossing over a fairly recent event like this is almost understandable. Kent State is an event that I've always been vaguely aware of, but I don't remember it being given too much attention during any history class I took in school. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() it's like having a great gossip with your best friends." - Marian Keyes, "Entertaining, moving and as vivid as a screenplay - presents a picture of the lives of Irish women which, like all good fiction, brings the truth into sharp relief. But a local "wild girl" by the name of Tassie, who is fascinated by both Philip and Kiki (in that order) and follows them around everywhere, shows them a safe path to the castle. It's a year since their island adventure, and the children are staying at Spring Cottage on Castle Hill with Mrs Mannering while their real home is "decorated and cleaned." Mrs Mannering tells the children quite firmly to stay away from the castle at the top of the hill because the road up to it fell away in a landslide, and the route is treacherous. His life's crowning achievement, his greatest film, would have told the story of a European village as the last hour of AD 999 approached - the midnight which the villagers were convinced would bring with it Armageddon. Impressed with his work, DC Comics hired him in February 1987, 43 and he wrote the limited series Black Orchid. It tells the story of a film director, somewhere in London, dying of cancer. Of course, with the rom-coms came some really important discussions on LGBTQ+ representation within the genre. I thought it was a really cool idea of the two’s, and their list of moments to recreate was super fun! Of course, my favourite thing about the whole book would have to be the classic rom-com moments. It was such a fun and magical read, and I genuinely loved it so much! It was impossible not to root for Saoirse and Ruby… They were simply too cute together. The Falling In Love Montage follows the protagonist, Saoirse, after the end of her final exams. Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be reviewing The Falling In Love Montage by Ciara Smyth. ![]() |
